You are aware that you don't need Slicemaster (or any program other than Flex's DAX and CAT) to enjoy FT8? I have done so almost every day for the past year.1 -

In the thousands of SSB QSOs I have made, I don't believe more than half a dozen or so included the other party identifying in CW.1 -

My 6600M does the same thing. Worried me at first, but doesn't seem to have any harmful effect. I interpret it now as my radio saying "come back soon."1 -

I am not at all computer oriented. However, I find it difficult to see how Flex could make direct connection to FT8 much simpler.1
